The 6 Magic Steps

Our formats are incredibly simple and easy to buy into. Our host does all the emotional labour, and the creative missions demand no courage to participate in. Though the specifics vary from format to format, a typical session follows the following structure:

1. We Introduce A Sub Genre Of An Art Form

Eg. A Fairy Tale

A Van Gogh Painting

A Disney Film

2. Your Teammates Discuss Their Understanding of It

This sets the context and allows participants to very quickly acquire a framework for the basic structure of a finished piece.

3. We Create Little Bits

The host assigns people to breakout rooms where they work in small groups to create little bits of the piece. These are simple creative missions where it is impossible to fail and fun to explore.

4. We Edit The Little Bits As A Group

In group mode, colleagues edit the overall piece by very quickly choosing little bits which work together. There is one rule: Is it fun?

6. We review the process

We allow 5 – 10 minutes at the end to review the process. This allows individuals to absorb elements of the group dynamic that they found suprising. And it allows the group to cohere as a whole.
